About

I was raise up in England graduated in Kingston University in 2014. My final year project was to use illustration to capture the essence and reality of HONG KONG city culture. As I spend my early 10 years of my childhood in the Somerset county side and the next in London. I quickly found my interest in cities. Specially Hong Kong, is where I originate. Buildings, city landscape , people have made a big impact, sharping my own perspective in my creativity.

I do commission Art pieces, Print, Mural, collaboration with brands that I like. My recent project are doing print on white t shirt and drawing on shoes, mainly on white vans as they got a large surface like canvas.

Summary of my work

I was inspired by scrolls from traditional Chinese landscape ink paintings. My idea was to create with a modern approach. With a variety of pens the ideas are capturing the modern contemporary urban movement in city culture. My work mostly shows Hong Kong landscape and city culture in the form of patterns. The way I use my pens is very detail, subliminal symbols, claustrophobic, mainly black with a occasional red expressing the idea of rushing , racing against time in urban modern concept. It all started with cross hatching that look like the letter x. Form there on I spend the next few years developing the subconscious mark making and transforming those in to visual imagery what I call Landscape x. My style is no boundary Some time Hong Kong ferry , moon shape and floating island, graphic imagery.

Philosophy

The idea is to display concentrated illustrations to inject a sense of creativity into this busy urban culture, which is lacking the value of art. Without the knowledge and appreciation of art in its original form, we can be led into a state of disillusionment, becoming unsatisfied consumers looking for answers through the buying of material goods. By falling into the trend of materials and brands, our concept values change into materials itself. This is increasingly happening in our commercial society. As everyone is too busy, we overlook a lot in our environment, we miss the details and artistic values behind everyday objects and our surroundings, such as the architecture that forms Hong Kong. My purpose is to create a space for art, to draw peoples’ eye to the reality which been translated on to a page; to amplify and remind us of the basic visual perspective of life.

My vision is to share visual excitement.
